Contemporary art is the star of MOCA

Contemporary art in all its forms is on view at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles

The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) was founded in 1979 by and for artists. Today, more than 7,000 works of art in all types of media – painting, photography, sculpture or drawing – make it one of the most important collections of contemporary art in the world. The particularity of MOCA is to have distributed this gigantic collection over three different entities.

Downtown, MOCA Grand Avenue with its red brick walls within huge glass buildings; just steps away, MOCA Geffen has a very industrial architecture, while in West Hollywood, MOCA Pacific Design Center is adorned with primary colours.

At each of these three addresses, you will discover works by internationally renowned artists such as Robert Mapplethorpe, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Helmut Newton, Joan Miró, Giacometti, Max Ernst and Man Ray. For your eyes only!
