Museu Berardo Colecção, be passionate about art

The Berardo Collection is the largest private collection in Europe.

The collection of the businessman José Manuel Rodrigues Berardo is part of the Centro Cultural de Belém, a building of pared-down architecture that in just over two decades has become the symbol of Lisbon creativity and the city's growing influence. The galleries cover the great movements of Modern Art, from Surrealism to Pop Art, from Hyperrealism to Minimalism and Conceptualism. Bacon, Boltanski, Dubuffet, Nan Goldin, David Hockney, Andy Warhol, Magritte, Picasso and Salvador Dalí, all the major artists of the 20th century are on display here. With more than 800,000 visitors each year, it is one of the only Portuguese Museums listed among the most visited in the world, as per The Art Newspaper. The cherry on top: this collection of 900 high-quality works is for you to admire... free of charge.
