Hotel Alexandra: a tribute to retro design

Sleeping at the Alexandra will take you back to the 1950s.

Fans of Mad Men and vintage design will be right at home in any of the 61 rooms at the Alexandra. Here, the decor is decidedly retro as the owners, connoisseurs of Danish creation of the 1950s and 1960s, have given the rooms real character and a certain elegance.

Design lovers will appreciate the homages made to the great names in Danish creation such as Verner Panton, Finn Juhl, Hans J. Wegner and Arne Jacobsen. The rooms, although quite small (the exception being the 25-square-metre Verner Panton room) are well appointed. Above all, the hotel is ideally located: a nine-minute walk from the station, seven minutes from Tivoli Gardens, and two minutes from the Strøget shopping street.

The always helpful and friendly staff will provide the key to exploring the city, wherever you happen to be, by showing you how to use an app (free) that features all the best addresses in Copenhagen.
