Claska, looking for a better way to live

In Tokyo's Meguro neighbourhood, Claska is a hybrid establishment, at once hotel and art gallery, drawing from Japanese traditions.

The name comes from the phonetic expression “do kurasuka”, meaning “living better” in Japanese. In the heart of the Meguro district and off the traditional sightseeing tours, Claska welcomes you in a 1960s-looking building that once sheltered a hotel for the jet set. Wander its corridors and have some fun looking for the period elements that have been preserved!

More than a mere boutique hotel, Claska is first and foremost a hybrid and creative space that counts 20 rooms all conceived by trendy Japanese interior designers. It also boasts a contemporary art gallery on the 7th floor, a screening room and a fashion shop. All sections of the hotel are inspired by traditional ryokan design, with added contemporary arrangements. With such an emphasis on style, Claska's atmosphere is resolutely young and trendy. Designers, artists and creators love to gather here, watch films, party on the rooftop or attend the latest opening exhibitions… A tasteful location for the perfect hipster experience.
