Traditional Nordic recipes at Barr

Traditional Nordic recipes at Barr

Only two steps away from the Inderhavnsbroen bridge in the centre of Copenhagen, Barr has become a must in the gastronomic landscape with typically North European dishes.

Located by one of Copenhagen's numerous wharves, Barr reveals a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is entirely dressed up in wood, from the walls to the counter, the floors and the furniture. Nordic and rustic recipes are given pride of place, but culinary traditions from the whole North Sea, Scandinavia, Benelux and even the British Islands also find their way onto the menu.
In the kitchen, the chef sublimates the famous "marmite", a yeast-extract-based spread, by integrating it into classic Danish dishes. Order some smoked mackerel, crab and Belgian waffles or the famous fish frikadelle served with truffle, corn and white currant in season. To celebrate traditions even further, beer and food pairings are being offered. A delightful immersion into Nordic gastronomy.
