Tehran International Short Film Festival

Now in its 33rd year, this short-film festival is an integral part of the international film festival circuit.

Founded in 1983, the festival shows a national and international selection of short films (maximum 30 minutes); it is a perfect way for young filmmakers to learn the difficult craft of filmmaking. Over the years, this showcase has become a major event for industry professionals and cinema lovers. There are more than 3,000 films from 100 countries presented each year. They feature new talents or more personal and singular works from established directors. Films are screened in different cinemas in Tehran, but mostly at the Mellat Cinema Complex.
