Kajazoma, between a restaurant and an art gallery

An atypical restaurant that is also an art gallery, Kajazoma is a must for drinks or dinner in Yaoundé.

In Yaoundé's posh Bastos neighbourhood, Kajazoma attracts art enthusiasts and food lovers alike, for this hybrid establishment is at once a restaurant, an art gallery and a show room. In a chic ethnic decor, African Art is given prominence, with contemporary paintings, as well as sculptures and jewels sourced locally, but also in Mali and Ivory Coast.
In the back of the restaurant, a large and lush garden turns into a lounge space every Friday and Saturday night, to the pace of jazz concerts. On the food side, the menu draws inspiration from French-Cameroonian gastronomy. Expect rolled sole fillets in curry, king prawn pasta or an emperor fish in Parma style. Look around you during the meal, as everything is for sale. From furniture to decoration items and household linens, there is something to satisfy all bargain-hunters.
