What payment methods are accepted on the Air France website?

Several payment methods may be used on our website, depending on the contents of your cart (destination, travel dates, selected options, etc.).

Debit and credit cards

We accept American Express, AIR FRANCE KLM - AMERICAN EXPRESS, Diners Club, Maestro, Mastercard, Visa and Visa Electron cards.
Please note that additional fees may apply in some countries.

Secure payments
When paying by debit or credit card, your payment data is encrypted and sent over a secure connection. Air France uses the highest online encryption standards (SSL v3) to protect sensitive information such as your card number.

For VISA and Mastercard payments, your bank may use an additional security system called 3D Secure.

Online banking

La Online banking enables you to safely pay for your purchases via the Internet. We accept online banking payments made through Enets, Giropay, iDeal et Sofort. This payment method may be used on our website up to 48 hours before your flight.
Online banking payments are processed by our partner Global Collect.

Payment instructions
During the payment process for your reservation, please select your bank and enter the required information. The total amount of your reservation will be debited from your account as soon as your payment is processed. Once your bank confirms the payment, we will send you an e-mail containing your e-ticket. This process generally takes less than 1 hour.

Bank transfer

You can pay by bank transfer if you book your trip at least 16 days before your departure date.
Your bank may apply a bank transfer fee. Please contact your bank for more information related to the amount of this fee.
Depending on your country, payments made by bank transfer may be processed by our partner Global Collect or by Air France directly.

Payment instructions
During the reservation process, we will provide the bank information needed to process your bank transfer. You must proceed with payment within 3 days of booking your trip so we receive your payment in time to guarantee your reservation. To request a bank transfer:
  • use your bank´s online banking service (if your bank offers online bank transfer services),
  • complete a bank transfer request form at your bank,
  • visit your bank to pay in cash.
Depending on your country, please indicate the reference number (12-digit code) or the reservation number in the payment instructions using the memo field. This information will help us link the payment to your reservation.

As soon as we receive your full payment, we will send you an e-mail containing your e-ticket.

Direct debit

You can pay for your ticket by direct debit if you book your trip at least 16 days before your departure date. No additional fees are applied for this payment method.
Direct debit payments are processed by our partner Global Collect.

Payment instructions
When paying by direct debit, you authorize our partner Global Collect to debit your bank account on behalf of Air France for the total amount of your reservation. The information required for this transaction (account number, bank name, etc.) will remain confidential and secure.
Global Collect will then contact your bank to process the transaction. As soon as your bank confirms the payment, we will send you an e-mail containing your e-ticket.

E-voucher

You can pay for your ticket by e-voucher (also called EMD), as long as the total amount of the reservation is greater than the amount of the e-voucher. The remaining balance must be paid by debit or credit card.
Please note:
  • E-vouchers are non-transferrable and must be issued in the same name as the name indicated in the reservation
  • Each passenger may use up to 2 e-vouchers per reservation
  • E-vouchers may not be used to pay for” A la Carte” services (“Time to think” option, travel insurance, etc.)
  • Processing fees apply to these payments

Western Union

You can pay for your reservation by Western Union Quick Pay if you book your trip at least 16 days before your departure date. This payment method enables you to pay in cash at the Western Union Quick Pay location of your choice. Transfer fees apply and are calculated based on the total payment amount.
These payments are processed by our partner Global Collect.

Payment instructions
During the reservation process, we help you find the nearest Western Union Quick Pay location via a link to the Western Union website, as well as a link to download the Quick Pay form. You must complete and submit this form when paying at the Western Union Quick Pay location. The form contains an ID code (payment reference/account number) used to process your payment.
As soon as your payment is confirmed, we will send you an e-mail containing your e-ticket.

Global collect

Some of the payment methods we accept are processed by our partner Global Collect. This partnership provides a global network for online payments. By working with Global Collect, we are able to offer a variety of payment methods to meet your needs.
Personal information transmitted to Global Collect is sent over a secure connection and used for the sole purpose of processing your payment. Your information will never be communicated to third parties or used for commercial purposes.
