This information is for reference only and applies only to flights operated by Air France or HOP! Air France.

Check you have your boarding pass

At the airport, make sure you have your boarding pass within easy reach at all times: you’ll be asked to show it regularly within the airport and when boarding the aircraft.

If you’d prefer to print your boarding pass at the airport, our interactive kiosks are available 24/7!

Attach your baggage tag

If you printed your baggage tag at home, simply insert it into a reusable Air France tag holder, available at the airport, and attach it to your baggage.

If you haven’t printed your baggage tag yet, you can do so at an Air France interactive kiosk!

Once your baggage tags are attached, you can go to the baggage drop-off counter.

Drop off your baggage

It's time to head to the baggage drop-off counter! Check the flight departure board for the baggage drop-off counter number.

Once you've dropped off your baggage, Air France will ensure that your baggage arrives at its final destination.

For everything you need to know about traveling with liquids, checking in additional baggage items or sports equipment, please see our baggage user guide!

Pass through the security checkpoint

At the security checkpoint, agents will check your hand baggage for the safety of all passengers. To make this process as smooth as possible, please separate your liquids, your notebook computer, your coat or jacket, and any metal objects (keys, coins, belt, etc.)

If you are traveling within metropolitan France or Europe (Schengen area*), you will also pass through passport control before boarding.
At Paris and Marseille airports: Have a French biometric passport? Go through border control more quickly thanks to PARAFE, the automated border control gate!

Wait lines can be long at the security checkpoints, so please allow plenty of time before your flight to get through stress-free.
