Baggage services and lost items

Was your baggage late, damaged or lost? We apologize for the inconvenience and will do everything possible to resolve your baggage problem.

An item is missing from your baggage

If you are still at the airport

If you discover that an item is missing from your baggage and you are still at the airport, please proceed to your arrival airport´s Air France Baggage Service to inform us of the incident. A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) will be established. You will then receive an associated file number. Please keep this to track your request.

If you have left the airport

If you discover that an item is missing from your baggage and you have left the airport, you have 7days from the date of your baggage´s receipt to make a compensation request via the online claim form or by mail to customer service in your country of residence. Beyond 7 days, we cannot process your request.

You have lost an item

  • If you have lost or forgotten an item on an airplane or in a private Air France lounge, please report it to Air France Lost and Found service .
  • If you have lost an item at an airport, please visit the airport´s website to contact its lost and found department.
