Around the world in 101 pictures

The winning photos of the Perspectives contest are finally unveiled!

From 1 to 15 March, Air France organised Perspectives, a photo contest in which amateurs and professionals submitted their best shots of their favourite cities. A total of 101 photos were awarded by the contest's jury and the internet public.

Chaired by actress Sandrine Kiberlain, the members of the jury – photographer Stéphane de Bourgies, Alexis de Gemini (CEO of Deezer France), the instagramer Johan Lolos, Jean-Christophe Laizeau (Director of International Communication for Ruinart), Philippe Gombert (President of Relais & Châteaux), designer Jean-Marie Massaud, Grégoire Champetier (Head of Marketing at AccorHotels), Marie-Laure Sauty de Chalon (President of The AuFeminin Group), and photographer Sonia Sieff – and more than 65,000 votes from Internet users worldwide selected the winning images from almost 5,000 photographs.

The 101 winners were announced at a ceremony in Paris for the official launch of Travel By Air France on 22 March. They are now exhibited on the social networks of Air France and on the new site Travel By Air France. The Grand Jury Prize will be honoured in Air France Magazine. The photos will also be shown alternately in the Air France Business Lounge at Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG 2E Hall L).

Grand Jury Prize:

« 312 Mètres de bonheur », Paris, Luc Lunel.

For two people, two nights at Relais & Châteaux Saint James Paris + one return flight from Paris to Miami in Business Class + two nights at Relais & Châteaux Royal Blues Hotel Miami + one dinner at Prime One Twelve in Miami + a Nikon D750 + a 24-120mm kit.

Grand Public Prize:

“Un Turista en la Multitud”, Bangkok, Lautaro Roberto Flores.

For two people, one return flight from Buenos Aires to Paris in Premium Economy class + two nights at the Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg + one dinner at The Beef Club in Paris + a Nikon D7200 + a 18-105 mm VR kit.

Second Public Prize: “Missing Pieces”, Paris, Erica Toh Yvette.

A Nikon D5500 + a 18-55mm VR

Third Public Prize: “Cold Morning in Niagara Falls”, Toronto, Denis Lamolle.

10th: “Surrounded by a green tide Ek'Balam”, Cancun, Diego Vanderhagen.

11th: “Parisian Hedonism”, Paris, Margaux Fugier.

13th: “Panathenaic Stadium”, Athens, Ezequiel.

14th: “City of Light, Heritage and the Red Double Decker”, London, Mohammad Anam.

15th: “Dubai”, Dubai, Nikosan Photo.

The evening-long awards ceremony gave the members of the jury, the winners, and all the participants a chance to tour the world and dream of travelling to the 101 destinations presented in the photographs.
